Pruning the Roses

Ian and I spent 2 hours pruning back the roses this weekend. While it may be a little early to give them their annual haircut, we have had an extremely mild winter this year, and they should be just fine. We took them down by 1/3, trimmed off all the dead wood and culled out the weak branches. We have numerous scratches to show for all our hard work!
